Lose-a-Palooza and Lose for Good

I am posting this info on my blog at the request of Lose-a-Palooza, considering I’m a lifetime member of Weight Watchers and I believe that program has done me some good, as well as lots of others. The camaraderie at a WW meeting can be fun and helpful. I have a tendency to put on weight, and I need lots of reminders and information thrown at me so I can stay with my original intention not to become larger, larger, and more larger! And with the money raised from this promotion, WW promises to donate to two organizations that fight hunger.

Disclaimer: Not "Feed the Hungry" poster people

For more info see WeightWatchers.com/LoseforGood

ALSO, AS PART OF THE PROMOTION, IF YOU WILL PLEASE COMMENT ON THIS POST, USING THE WORDS LOSE FOR GOOD TO SHOW YOUR SUPPORT~WW is supposed to donate $1 for every comment and post on the social networks and blogs that use the words Lose for Good, up to $60K for the two fight hunger organizations listed at the end of this post.

And (in participating areas, check their website) if you join WW and pay for a month up front, you will get a 2nd month free. Going once a week for a month, or doing the online version for a month, can get you on track to lose that 10 pounds you’ve been lugging around! You might even lose 10 lbs in a month!

The following is copied and pasted from the promotion site:

† Campaign activities available in participating areas only from 9/5/10 to 10/23/10. Weight Watchers will donate up to $1 million as  follows: (1) For every 1 million pounds lost during campaign period, Weight Watchers will donate $225,000, up to $900,000; (2) For every qualified “Visit a Meeting for Free” coupon redeemed in meetings locations during the campaign period, Weight Watchers will donate $1.00, up to $10,000; (3) For each approved “Lose-A-Palooza” social media activity on 9/14/10, Weight Watchers will donate $1.00, up to $60,000; and (4) For each approved activity on each of six “Action Tuesdays” during the campaign period (except for 9/14/10), Weight Watchers will donate $1.00 up to $5,000 per Tuesday. Pounds lost by members will be determined by average weight lost per meeting attendance during the campaign period multiplied by total number of attendances during campaign period. Pounds lost by Weight Watchers Online subscribers will be determined by total weight loss recorded in the Weight Tracker during campaign period. All weight losses are subject to our healthy weight loss guidelines. Donations will be made 70% to Share Our Strength® up to $700,000 and 30% to Action Against Hunger up to $300,000.
